The work that everything else stands on

A great floor starts long before the pour. When we are involved early we work with the owner and the builder to set the construction methodology, the finish design and the material selection together, so the structure and the surface are planned as one. It is the same care we bring to a stamped courtyard, applied to the slab that carries the whole building.

Project · Takatu

The heritage barn slab

This heritage barn project in Takatu has been carefully planned from the ground up. Being involved from the early stages let us work closely with the owner and builder to develop the right construction methodology, finish design and material selection for the floor.

The 500m² slab features hand-cast terracotta aggregate and 35MPa concrete with 16mm Maungaturoto chip, designed for a full stone exposure grind and polish once the building is complete.
